The most famous wine of all. Offered here are four which highlight the unique qualities of the finest Champagne. Fresh dryness, splendid bouquet, great delicacy and fine balance.

    This is a fresh pine appley wine with subtle hint of oak and a touch of mango and ginger. Super food friendly but great by itself too. Will work extremely well with oriental food.

    Opulent aromas of grapefruit and peach follow through to a palate that
    offers a light body, abundant melon, apple and a citrussy finish.

    This old-fashioned Languedoc grape produces wonderfully crisp, citrusy
    wines with great minerality and a taut, underlying acidity.

  • 10 Pouilly Fume Jean Pabiot et Fils (Loire, France ) £45.00
    Top quality Sauvignon Blanc with considerable depth and complexity. 
    Dry, crisp and refreshing.

  • 11 Sancerre AC, Domaine Daulny (Loire, France) £47.00
    100% Sauvignon Blanc produces a crisp wine with high acidity and Half £20.95
    raw blackcurrant fruit aromas. Fragrant, fresh, elegant and complex,
    and deservedly popular. Gold Medal winner.

DRY WHITE MEDIUM - BODIED
  • 12 Sea Mountain Sauvignon Blanc (Robertson, South Africa) £8.75 £27.50
    Tropical fruit and aromas of grapefruit, lemongrass and citrus
    make up this wonderful wine with a great fresh acidity.

  • 13 Pazo do Mar Treixadura Torrentes Godello (Ribeiro, Spain) £29.50
    Made from own-rooted, 30-year-old vines grown in the Ribeiro,
    this award-winning blend of indigenous Spanish varieties combines
    chalky minerality and refreshing citrus notes with great acidity and
    body. Beautiful served on its own or drunk with food.

  • 14 Sea Mountain Limestone Chardonnay (Robertson, South Africa) £9.95 £29.50
    Citrus peel pineapple with delicate and creamy hints of peach and lemon blossom.

  • 16 Albariño Veiga da Princessa (Rías Baixas, Spain) £11.95 £37.00
    This is a beautiful, racy white with mineral, lemon zest and floral notes.
    The nose is very open, with ripe, floral fruit. Crisp acidity and a long finish.

  • 17 Good Hope Chenin Blanc (Good Hope Winery, South Africa) £29.50
    Classic Chenin showing rich flavours of peach and exotic fruits with a
    super long finish. This is South African wine at its best.

  • 18 Domaine Lathuilière Beaujolais Blanc (Beaujolais, France) £37.00
    Made from 100% Chardonnay grown without the addition of chemical
    fertilisers, the wine is barrel fermented using wild yeasts to enhance
    complexity. Only 3,000 bottles produced annually.

  • 19 Old Coach Road Sauvignon Blanc (Nelson, New Zealand) £41.00
    Old Coach Road is flavoursome and punchy. the nose os packed with tropical notes and grapefruit. the palate entry is clean and crisp with layers of fruit and well balanced freshness from the natural acidity.

  • 20 Chablis Louis Moreau (France) £50.00
    Elegant, refined and flinty Chardonnay from one of the regions top producers.
DRY WHITE WINE - FULL BODIED
  • 21 Bagordi Rioja Blanco Organic (Rioja,Spain ) £33.00
    A bright, fresh and lively white from Spain’s most famous wine region. There’s a generous splash of Sauvignon Blanc plus the local Grenache Blanc, which makes for a fruity, well-priced blend.

  • 22 Le Grand Noir Viognier (Minervois, France) £10.50 £31.50
    Viogniers are often over-oaked. This example displays floral, exotic nature
    of this grape and is a great accompaniment to food. 15% Chardonnay grapes
    are in the blend giving the wine extra freshness and to go with its delightful
    mango and apricot flavours.

  • 23 Bon Courage Prestige Chardonnay (Robertson, South Africa) £36.00
    Intense mouth feel with flavours of grapefruit, lime, vanilla and butterscotch. Rich flavours with a long finish expressing characters of creme brulee.

  • 24 Wente Morning Fog Chardonnay (San Francisco, United States) £13.95 £42.00
    A delightful round and smooth, slightly oaked white wine, full of tropical
    fruit flavours. From a winery which sits on San Fransisco Bay.

  • 25 Domaine Laurent Cognard Montagny Premier Cru (Burgundy, France) £85.00
    This excellent Montagny Premier Cru is a real treat with its fresh and vivid personality. It has beautiful tension and delicate yet ripe fruit flavours alongside subtle toasted nut characters derived from large oak casks.

LIGHT RED WINE
  • 28 Beaujolais-Villages, Cave de Fleurie (Burgundy, France) £28.50
    An attractively fruity and refreshing wine with the Gamay grape’s trademark
    light tannins and juicy red berry fruit, this wine displays woodland fruits
    with a silky soft mouthfeel.

  • 29 Domain de la Denante rouge (Burgundy, France) £41.00
    Purfumed, meaty and full of life, great matched with pork and chicken dishes

  • 30 Le Grand Noir Pinot Noir (France) £37.00
    A very distinctive and immediately enjoyable Pinot Noir, this is a very
    juicy raspberryish, cherryish wine with hints of strawberry and oak
    and a refreshing note of pepper.

  • 27 Cantina Merano, Festival Pinot Bianco (Southern Tryol, Italy) £13.95 £41.00
    This is a sophisticated white from the mountainous north of Italy. Fuller bodied and weighty than Pinot Grigio with pretty floral flavours, it is dry and pure.

MEDIUM-BODIED RED WINE

    Lovely deep coloured Merlot full of woodland fruits and light tannins.
    Very easy drinking. 12.5%vol.

    Bright purple with aromas of strawberries and raspberries and hints of
    spice. Medium bodied with ripe red fruits and a long aftertaste. 12% vol.

  • 34 Primitivo Oltre Passo (Salento, Italy) £9.95 £29.50
    Deep ruby red with rich blackberry and cherry notes, this wine has a lush
    softness and a balance that makes it ideal with steak and all game dishes.

  • 35 Vina Real, Rioja Crianza, CVNE (Rioja Alta, Spain) £33.00
    Tempranillo, Mazuela and Garnacha grapes, aged for one year in Half £15.00
    American oak. Ripe, plummy vanilla.

  • 36 Monastrell Barinas (Jumilla, Spain) £31.00
    100% Monestrell grapes,Cherry in Colour. notes of ripe fruits and oak wood are very well integrated with fragrances of vanilla.

  • 38 Chateau La Roque Pic St-Loup (Languedoc, France) £41.00
    A mix of Grenache, Syrah and Mourvedre grapes are hand harvested before
    undergoing wild fermentation in cement tanks. This certified organic and
    biodynamic wine combines genuine power with amazing depth and finesse.

  • 39 Chateau Argadens Bordeaux Superieur (Bordeaux, France) £11.95 £36.00
    Brilliantly smooth and well crafted wine from the family behind the
    famous Château Palmer.

  • 40 Morgon Vieille Vignes Beaujolais Lathuilière Gravallon £43.00
    (Burgundy, France)
    This old vine Morgon – with a stunning average vine age of 100-years-old
    – is a famously dark and seductive expression of the Gamay grape.
    Aromas of violets and cherries give way to a soft mouthful and wonderful
    length. This is a serious Cru Beaujolais.

  • 43 Chateau Preuillac Medoc (Bordeaux, France) £68.00
    Ruby and purple tints with red fruit aromas and plums and an elegant
    oaky touch. Full bodied with velvety tannins, an elegant structure for this
    Haut-Medoc. Toasted aromas with Kirsch notes.

    (San Fransisco, United States)
    This Cabernet Sauvignon exhibits flavours of cherry, dark plum and a hint
    of coffee. Rich yet approachable tannins provide a long, smooth finish.

  • 48 Vino Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG (Tuscany, Italy) £43.00
    Impressive full-flavoured wine from the Sangiovese grape. Exuberant
    character and generous ripe-fruit flavours of cherry and plum.

  • 49 Uvas del sol Malbec (Mendoza, Argentina) £11.95 £36.00
    Deep, rich  and intense Malbec from Argentinas most prestigious vinyards. Bramble, plum  and dark chocolate are the trade mark of this hearty style.

  • 50 Rioja Santiago Reserva (Rioja, Spain) £35.00
    This is a velvety-smooth, full-bodied red with a juicy berry fruit palate
    and lashings of vanilla and toast on the finish.

  • 51 Victoria Park Shiraz (Southern Australia, Australia) £11.95 £37.00
    This is a juicy Shiraz with charming, fruity flavours and excellent balance. It is a friendly, easy to enjoy Shiraz with a soft texture and chocolatey-textured tannins

  • 52 Chateau Musar Gaston Hochar (Beka’a Valley, Lebanon) £65.00
    Serge Hochar deserves a medal for this wonderful wine - his vineyards were
    in the middle of the war zone in the Golan Heights. An organically-grown
    Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah blend bursting with ripeness.

  • 53 Chateauneuf-du-Pape Les Galets (France) £50.00
    A lighter style of Châteauneuf with ripe fruit and herby spicy brambly notes
    and a soft round palate with plummy fruit flavours.

  • 54 Barolo Manfredi (Italy) £55.00
    Aromas of dried fruit and leather are followed by a rich mouthful,
    with a good balance of acidity and tannins.

ROSÉ WINE
  • 56 Rioja Vega Rosado Rosé (Rioja, Spain) £8.95 £27.50
    Delicate and refreshing with a raspberry-hued colour that bursts
    with the vibrant notes of fresh strawberries Great as an aperitif or
    with smoked salmon or prawns.

  • 57 Le Fruit Defendu French Rosé (Pays de l’Herault, France) £31.00
    Cinsault rosé from the South of France, made by legendary
    Burgundian Bruno Lafon. Expect a light and refreshing Provence
    style rosé bursting with fresh berries and deliciously dry finish.

“PUDDING” WINE
  • 58 Torres Moscatel Oro (Catalunya, Spain - NV - 50 cl) £4.50 Glass
    Moscatel aromas of orange blossom, Turkish delight and honeyed
    fruit, accompanied by delicious spicy notes of tobacco leaf and clove.
    Indulgently sweet, with an enduring candied finish.

  • 59 Barbadillo Pedro Ximenez (Spain - NV- 75 cl) £4.25 Glass
    A very rich, thick and sumptuous dessert sherry from Barbadillo.
    This has a rich prune, raisin flavour and goes superbly well with
    rich desserts.
