At Appleby Manor we know the importance of making sure your wedding day is one of the most memorable days of your life (and memorable for the right reasons). Our wedding co-ordinator will manage all your arrangements, from ceremony to reception, so that you can make the most of your precious day and not worry about a thing. Furthermore for complete freedom and flexibility the hotel can be hired for your exclusive use.
Why not make the most out of your wedding day and make a weekend of it? You can choose to hire the hotel for your exclusive use for the weekend and enjoy both the wedding ceremony itself and your reception at Appleby Manor. In this way, you have the opportunity to say when, where and for how long - we can be most flexible regarding the times of ceremony and wedding breakfast because the hotel is yours!
Accommodation
We have thirty one bedrooms, so can accommodate up to 78 residents including children. For the bride, why not spend your final night as a single woman in our Heelis Suite, while we keep your groom tucked up somewhere else in the hotel - just for the one night! And be joined by him on your wedding night...
The Wedding Ceremony
Your wedding ceremony can take place in the elegant surroundings of our Restaurant, Garden room or our Conservatory, the windows of which overlook Appleby Castle and the Eden Valley.
After The Ceremony
Your guests can enjoy a relaxing drinks' reception on the sunny hotel terrace while admiring the award winning gardens and views over the Eden Valley. Alternatively, we can serve drinks in our Conservatory or Lounge.
Ceremony and Wedding Breakfast Only
You can hold your ceremony and wedding breakfast, and book one or two bedrooms at the hotel without having exclusive use. The wedding ceremony can take place between 11.00am and 12.30pm. The wedding breakfast can be held from 1.30pm until 5.30pm. During your time at the hotel, you have sole use of the restaurant and Garden room for your ceremony and wedding breakfast.
Reception only
We can provide that special venue for your reception after a church or registry office ceremony. The timings for the wedding breakfast are as above. We are also happy for your wedding photographer to accompany you to the reception, so you can take advantage of the award winning gardens.
Wedding Breakfast
We can offer a variety of menus and we can easily cater for vegetarians or any special dietary requirements. Please see Wedding Menus for sample of options.
PLEASE NOTE:We do not specialize in evening receptions, and are unable to accommodate live evening entertainment (band or disco) we are delighted to offer background music during your meal.
