December 2004 saw the completion of a new conservatory extension to the restaurant, adding a further 40 seats. Hotel guests can enjoy the charming views over Appleby castle and the beautiful Eden Valley, the hotels idyllic setting, nestled amid the hills of the Pennines and overlooked by the Cumbrian - Lake District fells. There could be no better place to enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner than in this 1 AA rosette award-winning restaurant.
Furthermore a new patio area has been created in front of the restaurant. Guests are able to enjoy drinks; afternoon tea or light snacks throughout the day. Hotel guests can relax amid magnificent gardens that have won numerous awards and accolades and enjoy the outstanding vista of this beautifully set hotel in the heart of the Pennines and on the fringes of Cumbria the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales.
